For teachers of young children 3-6 years of age

Every season brings wondrous change to the world around us. This workshop will explore how trees get ready for winter. We’ll visit the Prairie Ridge arboretum to explore trees and get "tree-rific" ideas for hands-on activities to use inside and outside of the classroom.

Please note that this workshop will occur at the following location:

NC Museum of Natural Science: Prairie Ridge Ecostation
1671 Gold Star Dr
Raleigh, NC 27607

A gravel parking lot is located adjacent to the entrance of the Prairie Ridge Ecostation. You will see a fence, kiosk and gate marking the Prairie Ridge entrance just before the drive curves around to the right.

Please Note: This class occurs in an outdoor setting. Please dress for the weather by wearing long pants, hat and close-toed shoes for a joyful, but gentle walk. Workshops will occur rain or shine. In the event of heavy rain, we will move to the indoor classroom.
